Put the skid plate back on this morning and took it around the block.Everything works and most of all NO LEAKS.If anyone is considering an install I figured out a way to save time and aggravation. Vince

I did the install with the transfer case on the Jeep. The hardest part of the job was keeping the oil pump where it belongs on the outboard cover. What I wound up doing was knocking the bearing out of the origional tail shaft/spedo gear cover and used that to hold the pump in place while bolting the two halves together. All told it took about three minutes instead of the half hour or so(foul language included)Following the directions. Vince Well i did mine today as well. That pump was a@#$%^(pain) I did it with the transfer case in the jeep too. On the XJ I did not have to remove the skid plate. Everythng else went smooth. I agree with water man. I thought it was going to be harder then it was.. there are how to videos on youtube. I havent gone out for a ride so lets keep our fingers crossed no leaks.
