Hi everybody, John (General Jeep) a lot of y'all already know me or at least have seen the "General" around the area. Anyway, I'm just getting around to registering to the site, and just wanted to say hi. Hope to see everybody at the Atsion cleanup on Sunday.
Guess I should give ya the lowdown on the General. He started out as a basic 2.5L black YJ with 104,000 miles 7 years ago, I started mild, 2" body lift and 31's. That lasted about 6 months. It had to be bigger, so then it was a 4" suspension lift and 34's, still a 4 banger, but it had 4:10 gears and did OK. I ran it like this for 4 years, then decided to try and sell it, I just needed a change, or so I thought. Well six months of trying (not real hard) to sell and he was still hanging around, still a lowly 4 cylinder. Finally I said the hell with it...I'm gonna finish what I started. Then it was like I was obsessed, crazed, like a drug addict needing a fix. With the transformation complete (riiiight) my trusty YJ now has a 4.0L, headers, 2 1/2" exhaust/flowmaster super 44 muffler, screamin Demon coil/DUI live wires, K&N Apollo filter setup (hood high intake tube...about 4 1/2'), 4"lift military wrap springs, 2"lift shackels, 2" body lift, 36" Super Swamper Iroks, 4:56 gears/locked & loaded front and rear, Posilock to remove the failure prone central vacuum disconnect, sway bar disco's, Rugged Ridge 1 ton steering upgrade, JKS shock conversion up front, herculined tub, CB, heavy duty homemade front & rear bumpers 10,000# clevis pull points rear & 12,000# F-250 tow hoops up front, 13,000# Atlas winch, Carr rotaBar lightbar/hella lights, 2004 Rubicon seats (none in the back), custom diamondplating throughout the interior, Confederate flag bikini, Hemi orange paint with the infamous Dukes of Hazzard theme (horn included). There's probably stuff I forgot, but, there will be more in the future.....To be continued.
