Could have blown that ring&pinion trying to yank someone out in reverse,,,, I,ve blown gears in the past doing that,,never again,,, thats what the winch is for ;D,,,Strap for an easy pull ;D

Every peice of metal that turns is stressed going one way, forward, when you stress it the other way it breaks. I've hit people so many times yanking forward and have only broken a couple axle joints, which were probably already loose anyways.
