This might be a stupid question, but can you put a snorkel on a cabuerated engine? I think I might want to put one on my CJ7 when I get the time and dough.

Yea you can put one on it,,best bet would be to make one that looks good to you,,I think you could get all the parts for under$40,,, the prez would know better on the parts his is home made and looks good,,,,and Baja has a home made one as well that looks good

Prez is the homemade snorkel guru.
For a CJ your going to have to go to a junkyard to find an airbox, most likely from a Cherokee or any SUV. Run a commercial grade vacuum hose from your carburetor to the airbox. Tap into airbox and the rest is just a few dollars in PVC & fittings.

yeh what they said air box is a must you pull it junk yard bout 20$ maybe and i think if chip aint using it there may be hose in the garage right chip ?

Yea, I have a Commercial Grade hose Prez gave me to put a snorkel on the YJ. Your more than welcome to it if you need it.
