I hope you guys had a blast at RC yesterday. Last night, I left Wilmington Del at 6 PM with 3 inches of snow on my truck. I GUESS THE REALITY IS THAT I NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM OLD MAN. The TaTa ride was miserable in the rain, thankfully it was not cold. I use to enjoy the cold weather, now I am bundled up in the house. I would not have been able to function out there yesterday. I still want to get up to RC when it is not raining, snowing, wet. Seems to me I need to check out the RC forums to work on getting back up to Rausch Creek, more often. I have been avoiding another forum, as was all know my computer skills are challenged. Nonetheless I appreciate being able to ride with you all. Hope to see you all again on the 12th.

Well we had no rain! As we headed up to RC from the hotel it was snowing. By time we split there was 8 to 10 inches on the ground! Mike lead and did an awesome job! We did some of the old favs. J, H, 13, 11 and we did 23. Mike never did 23 before and put 6" of snow on it then you have some serious wheelin. Ever trail was a challenge!!! But the real challenge was getting home! It took me over 5 hrs to get back! 78 closed overturned truck. Green detour route closed trees down. The back roads to get back to 78 not plowed. Now I'm in the middle of nowhere and the low fuel light comes on! OH nuts now what? I just made it to a gas station and to my surprise it was the WAWA I always stop at just north of Allentown on 100. So I fueled up and got me a 24 of joe! Back on 78 it was slow moving with trees down in the lanes and dumb asses doing 20 mph. Finally I hit the N.J. border. 31 was moving OK 35 mph until I get to Ringoes when traffic stopped. 3 car crash ahead. So I took to the side roads again. When I came across a truck stopped in the middle of this barley 2 lane country road. He was trying to change the blade on his chain saw to cut the tree blocking the only way out. I gave him some tools and we started cutting! We got past that one just to get to the next one. As we cut and moved that one we could hear trees falling all around us in the woods! Down around the next bend guess what? Yes more trees. It was like the Apocalypse out there in northern Hopewell. As were cutting the trees kept falling all around us one just missed us! Finally we made it out to 31 and it was erie. No lights, no traffic nothing for the next 15 miles. Well needless to say I made it home 5hrs + later! WHAT AN AWESOME TRIP!! I LOVE AN ADVENTURE!
