Hi, I'm John. Some of you may remember me as the kid riding in the Ford on the fire run after the wildfire last year. Well, the time has come and I have an opportunity to buy a jeep. My question is if it is worth it? 1995 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl, 5 speed 150k miles Minor problems, easy fixes Never offroaded tranny rebuild less than 3k miles ago $2200 Yay or nay?

Hi John,
Seems like a decent price... There is one out by me that is lifted going for $1800... It looked a little rough, but trail worthy... Also know of a stock 83 CJ7 for a grand... Either way, good luck and welcome...

Ok, thanks! If all goes as planned I should be checking it out/getting it tonight. Now I guess I have to learn how to drive a stick. Any tips? =D

Sounds like a great deal. Definately since it's never been offroaded, but that's what I told the kid that I sold my last Jeep to.
I would just get underneath it and make sure the frame is solid, not rusted out, etc.

Anyone have an idea on how to fix a broken speedometer? The only thing thats wrong with it is a small exhaust leak which will be fixed and it needs some wiring done to the cd player and hardtop lights. Should make a nice first jeep.

Very nice, make sure you post pictures when you get it.
I have a 95 YJ, 4 cylinder, 5 speed also. You won't be dissapointed, good luck with it.
