Well, I started working on my three inch lift around noon today. I chose to start in the back and found my driver side puck from the old lift was totally destroyed and the shock was leaking. Maybe I need to lose weight . Things were going well til I went to the pass side and one of the two bolts the holds the top of the shock sheared off. Looks like it had been over torqued. So I drilled it and the ez-out snapped in half too. So I tried to grab the 3/8" or so that sticks out the top until that broke too. I just spent the last two hours cutting the fouled captive nut out..... I'll replace with regular nut and bolt..... Oh well, back to the sweat shop.....

I did try some PB blaster and let is soak for an hour or more.
Well, the back end is done except for the extended brake line. I got the front most of the way apart. Making slow but steady progress. Looks like it will be a significant difference in height.

I'll need 35s and pontoons to try that again. Made some more progress last night... Front springs in Front Lower control arms in Sway bar disco's mostly done (need adjustment and retainer strap) I did take some pics I'll try to post... Things found when spending hours under your jeep..... 1. Some serious Rauch Rash on frame end LCA mount ;D 2. Never suggest puck lifts for offroad use. (my left front puck was in 10 or more pieces) 3. Get to know someone with a "portapower" hydraulic ram 4. Bottle jacks and various 2x4s are good friends 5. an endless supply of sand, leaves, pine needles and various gunk in every spot imaginable. 6. There is always at least one more part to replace (drag link tie rod end)

Good to see that you are having fun... I crunched up a couple of frame-LCA mounts myself at Rausch. The Jeep gods are telling us to install a long arm lift.....
That is something else about the pucks falling apart... That I got to see..
Do you think the lift will be done for this weekend?

I'll still be wrenching....unfortunately, I have some other things to tackle too so the jeep will have to wait a little while. My daughter picked up the drag link tie rod end I needed but my upper control arms won't come until next week.

I ordered rear adjustable uppers to fix rear pinion angle. They should arrive today or tomorrow. Once they are on, I should be ready for another adventure.
Waterman, Can I borrow your 35's while you are away ;D (just kidding but maybe next year I'll be able to follow you)
