Ok you Rubicon experts, I have a question. On the passenger side of the Transfer case, about where it meets the Transmission, I have a bracket with a round fitting on it. There is a rod that is inside the cylinder and it appears to be some kind of device to allow some flex but then provide resistance. My question is.... Is there supposed to be rubber inbetween the frame and the limiting rod? Sorry for the long post but it is hard to describe.

2004
I'll try to get a pic tomorrow to post.. I know my description is weak
I don't even know if this is just on the 241's or if the 231's have it also. I tried to look in the FSM and came up blank.

I will ck the parts book. I am almost certain that there is to be a rubber bushing in there.

That is part of an exhaust hanger. There should be a rubber bushing in that hole.

Thanks to James I got the right part but there is no way to install it without pulling the whole exhaust system out. I ended up cutting the bushing in half and installting the two halves. Then I put a hose clamp on the rod in front of the bushing halves to try and keep them in. Time will tell. Thanks all
