Those are the ones Austin just bought for his CJ. 38"x 15" x 16.5" It's one heck of a mud tire, I don't think you'll appreciate the street ride much though.

i friend of mines sister had them on her truck.........NO GOOD. they literally blew, peeled apart in different spots. all in less than 6 months. when they she changed them out, they back two which were intack ( SO WE ALL THOUGHT ) where desinergrating from the inside out. and there was a hugh crack through the whole tire wher eit looked like it was put together. i wouldnt of givin the back tires much longer before they went. lucky they didnt go all at one time; BAD stuff. and they refuse to do anything to compesate her or anything. these tires were not abused in any way shape or form. i know, ive been ridin with her, lol. maybe was a bad set or something, but i wouldnt spend almost a grand for them to do that again!!
just my 2 cents for whats its worth......

I've never run LTBs myself but I've heard of them losing chunks before. My Dayton Timberline MTs work great on and off road and at $135 a tire mounted & balanced how can you go wrong. I also had Mud Kings they work well also just a little noisy. As for Procomps I have the MTs on my Dodge they work well in snow never offroaded and very quiet. Stay away from the Thornbirds they only look good.

LTB's serve there purpose off-road, but are not ideal for daily driving. I prefer a BFG M/T or even an IROK Radial or TrXus M/T, if you are an Interco guy.

I had trouble keeping my TrXus M/T's balanced in the front. But they were a great tire on and off-road.

Best luck is with 315-75-16 MTR. The 285-75-16MTR on the Blue Rube Would not last that long and they got noisy. Even with rotating them only help a little. Daily driver you need a Radial or you will have to drive miles before the flat spot comes out. The heaveyier tires cost you more to buy and run. I have not had any problems with the big MTR. I also run them at the max presure rating for the road to help with gas. in the woods I go to 20psi front and back. I could go lower but do not need to. Hope this helps.

So I guess I have to come clean. I was crusing ebay and saw a set of 4 ltb's on auction and had dreams of following Waterman and VP through deep holes. Starting bid was $325 so I figured I would put in the mininum and if anyone wanted them more... they could have them. Well, a week went by and I was the ONLY bidder. So as soon as I get back from my weekend trip, I have to go pick them up in Jackson. They are 34x10.5x16's and have less than 4K on them. Unless someone has some wheels to sell or wants to trade, I guess I'll mount them on my OEM Moabs and give them a try for a run or two. I know I can't run them as my only tire.
Thanks for all the input. I really thought someone would outbid me and I would go to 35's when I saved up some money but my mouse finger got the best of me so for now I'm an LTB tester (or man with tires to trade).

I had trouble keeping my TrXus M/T's balanced in the front. But they were a great tire on and off-road. Try getting them balanced somewhere that has a Road Force balancer. We experienced the same issues with customers using that tire or similar, then we got a Hunter Road Force balancer. It is an amazing machine.... it simulates the road force on the tire, to achieve a more accurate balance.

You will be very happy with their off-road performance. You can't pass up a deal like that!
