Anyone know anything about the clutch slave cylinder? When I push and release my clutch I get a grinding noise and it sticks just about when it engages. Possible muck, needs lube?
Can I take the slave cylinder out without any issues with the clutch or drop the trans?
thanks

You most likely have some mud packed into the clutch. Pulling the slave cylinder will give you a little bit of access to wash out the clutch with a garden hose if you are lucky. Most likely you are going to need to replace the clutch and release bearing. Pulling the transmission and replacing the clutch is not hard but it is a good all day Saturday job. Having the transmission out will give you a good chance to tune up your drive line components (u-joints).
Seperate the TC from the tranny and borrow a transmission jack...
