The Pines are on fire again. This time Route 206 near Shamong (near Prez's house). With these high winds the Pines may soon be gone.

Yea, you can really smell it cooking out on my back deck.

I live near Long Beach Island, probably 35 miles away from the fire and the sky is completely covered with smoke... This wind is really going to play havoc with the firefighters...
Edit: They just said on the news that up to 700 acres involved so far...

i see a glow  and its smells like BBQ got my bug out bag by the door kids too . Wind could make it go anywhere |

Hi GRJC..just wanted to let you know that according to Terry and a few other people that the clean up is still on. Also, Didn't know if you are aware but they are asking everyone to please bring an unwrapped toy because they are doing a toy drive in addition to the clean up...Just wanted to give you the heads up!

Keep us updated on the cleanup, or if you guys need any other type of help with everything that's going on. I know i have 4 Jeeps on my end willing to come down and help.  |

I was in Absecon this morning. You can smell it real good out there with the wind blowing East. 206 is still closed at Rt. 30 in Hammonton. I'm guessing with these high winds it's not contained yet.
