Do you think that the American auto industry will go the way of British Layland? It doesn't look good.GM stock is down to under $2.00 per share and Ford is just over $1.00.Forget about Chrysler. Alot of car manufactures have gone out of production since I've been around: Willy's Studebaker Nash Hudson DeSoto Austin Healey Trimuph MG Rover Hillman American Motors Oldsmobile Packard Plymouth There might be a couple more that I can't think of at the moment. I'd die before I buy a foreign car but It was only a matter of time. How about building a half decent vehicle that's affordable & reliable.
They got caught up in that whole SUV craze (as everyone did) while the Japanese pounded out smaller, more efficient, reliable, cheaper vehicles.
And now they expect the American people to pay for their horrible management decisions. Sorry to see e'm go but they brought it upon themselves.

No buy out! BUT the bad thing about it all are the 64,000,000 jobs and employees. When you have CEO's flying aroung in personal jets to beg for money THAT bothers ME!
NO BODY is bailing me out, I get F'd and forced to go bankrupt.
Where is the justice.
Don't get me started this just pisses me off!

You make millions a year, you recieved 23 million dollars in bonuses this year, private jets, 12 homes in 8 different Countries and your begging for money like a homeless bum on the side of the road ...... it's pathetic !

Vince You can thank those greedy CEO's for incinerating the stock. There's nobody else to blame. The public surely didn't do it. Here's my .2cents First and foremost,,,Get rid of this f-uped goverment,,all they want to do is spend(waste)are money onbullcrap stuff!!! Why in the hell do we need to spend billions putting nuts in space!!!!!,,,second why in the hell does some speculator have the right to say the crap they feed the public? shut the the hell up!!! Now this one really plucks my nerves,,,This clown that's going to be running the USA is getting a totally remodeled white house,,why???To pimp out his new crib??? another waste tax payers millions!!! Why do i have to foot the bill for any of these mega corporation's that blatantly wasted money??? give lavish homes, car, airplane's,boats,,and that list goes on!!!! wall streeters getting millions dollar bonuses??? Why did Gm and Ford burn $154 million a day july-aug.(quoted from cnbc news) Now on to us little guy's that make this country run!!!! we just take it up the a-s-s and take why??? Because for the most part the people of the UNITED STATES BELEAVE ALL THE BULL CRAP THE GOVEREMENT TELLS US AND THEY ELECT MORE TRASH IN TO THE HOUSE. IM done with this enough said

If the Fed don't help the big 3 and millions of jobs and hundreds of companies are lost. I'd hate to think what happens next. Jobless and forclosures rates rise banks go under when does it stop.

This is what happens when excess & greed sets in. It dribbles down to the little guy as it always does. But what everyone BETTER understand is that when all hell breaks loose and it will, be prepared. It's not going to matter how many Jets, houses, cars you have or how many zeros are on your checking statement. It's gonna be about survival and none of those things are gonna matter when your a mark.

First of all job loss won't be in the millions-probably no more than one hundred thousand. Not only is the management to blame but also the unions.I have not heard of any majior consessions from that side yet.The companies produce more cars than they can sell so something has to go.Meaning assembly plants and jobs. This may sound harsh but the reality of a large corporation is to turn a profit.I worked for 32 yrs in a union enviorment and to that company I was just a face and an employee number on a gate pass.Just another tool for the company to use. In the 50's and 60's the big three were the only game in town and got away with producing crap and caving into the unions. How could they lose? Only when the inports arrived did they have to change their game plan-and what did they do?They lobbied for import restrictions to keep the imports out. I have an an Infiniti G35X that isn't equaled in price, quality and customer service by anything sold by the big three.I would purchase an american built car if they were competive. Over the years I've owned: 3 Datsuns 3 Infinitis 2 Austin Healeys 1 Trimuph 1 Olds 3 Corvettes 2 F-150s 2 Mersades 1 Buick 2 Grand Ckerokees 3 Wranglers Out of all the American car the only ones that I would purchase again are the Jeeps and F-150.Enough said Vince
