Well, I'm installing a new CB. It looksl ike a family member is going to get me a Cobra 75WX for xmas. It's on sale at camping world for $84. Looks like I am going to pare it with a Firestk 2 in the five foot length. Any opinions?

I have a Radio Shack CB with a Firestick Antenna. It's nothing fancy but gets the job on the trail. Never had a problem with it. It was pretty inexpensive also.

Lol, that's actually true. I removed it, shook all the water out, let it dry out in the sun all day, plugged it back in and it worked like a bear.
Then I finally wised up and moved it to a higher location. If it's ever underwater again, then I've got more problems than the CB to worry about.

I've been running the 75wxt with a 4 foot firestik for 2 years now, and have had zero problems with it.....range has been good, the speaker is nice and clear, and I love the fact that it's a hideaway unit, very easy to mount...all in all, im as happy as can be with the performance. Rich

I have one with a PA output. I like being able to talk at people, not in there rigs, too. It can also be helpful during a recovery. Alex

no not you vinny theres a group of about 25 around here im gonna us as retreads You mean the ones with the corny helmets & funny outfits. I almost ran down a few today on Chue Road. They would not move for anything and got mad at me ..... go figure. They are fast though, you should have seen the way they moved with a white Jeep barreling down on them.
