Mr. Elmer who was one of our CERT Instructors and The Emergency Management Coordinator passed away Thursday morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Elmers family.
Camden County mourns the death of Donald C. Elmer, Emergency Management Coordinator for the Department of Public Safety. A resident of Cherry Hill, Mr. Elmer passed away early on Thursday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.

On January 1, 2009 of Cherry Hill, NJ. Age 72. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Gable) and the late Carol Ann (nee Erichson). Loving father of Robin MacBride (Andrew) of Phila., PA; Paul Elmer (Jacquelyn) of Lumberton, NJ and Megan Fisher of Long Island, NY. Devoted grandfather of Donald, Stephen, Eric, Carol Ann, Johnny, Natalie, Kurt, Brandon and Madison. Dear brother of Carol Conroy, Robert Elmer, Dorothy Lippre and Herbert "Skip" Elmer. Viewing Monday evening, January 5th, 7pm to 9pm and Tuesday morning, January 6th, 9am to 10am in the Schetter Funeral Home 304 W. Rt. 70, Cherry Hill, NJ. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to:

What a guy. It was a pleasure to meet him. I'm glad I had a chance to chat with him while you guys played with fire at the school. He'll be missed.
