I'm having a ton of problems with Internet Explorer and that antivirus 2009 its blocking the internet. I was able to get Firefox loaded after about 50 tries. The problem isn't corrected yet but I can surf with firefox if I try to use Internet Explorer it blocks the web and I can't do squat. I don't know much about computers. My son (the oldest) hooked me up with McAfee so I don't crash and I ran a full system scan it took 9 hrs to run. I can't stop this security stuff from popping up It popped up 5 times while writing this post. (correction 6) Mcafee tells me I'm safe Microsoft tells me I have no protection. A window just popped up telling me that antivirus 2009 detected 35 infections I don't have Antivirus 2009. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Antivirus 2009 is a new rogue anti-spyware program from the same family as Antivirus 2008 and Doctor Antivirus . Antivirus 2009 is installed and advertised through the use of misleading web sites that attempt to make you think your computer is infected with a variety of malware. Once installed, Antivirus 2009 will scan your computer and list a variety of fake infections that can't be removed unless you first purchase the software. These infections are fake, though, and only being shown to scare you into purchasing the software."

Your going to need these 2 programs., revo uninstaller, and superantispyware free., its data base now covers this rogue antispyware, download. update it, and run in safe mode, that should take care of your problam., just be a little more careful of what you download., because thats the only way your going to get it

Problem solved The Mcafee antivirus took care of it on its own. It also shows me which sites are safe. Thanks everyone for the help.
