It's the weekend woke up at 5am decided to wash the LJ early. After 2hrs and a lot of quarters the red, tan and brown mud is all off. Earlier in the week the kid tells me the XJ was acting up. So I decide to give it the once over. Pull it in the shop its making a noise like a spun bearing squeaking and grinding. I start at the front. After adding 2qts of oil an1 of trans fluid no help. After I jack it up and get under it I found the noise its coming from the trans. Upon further inspection I find the trans has 1 loose bolt left in it. A few hours later and a lot of cussing I got the trans bolted back in. Take it for a ride and it has a death wobble after replacing the steering stabilizer. I decide to check the 4 wheeldrive goes in fine now it won't come out. So I climb under it again the little bushing in the linkage is wiped. What a P.I.T.A. that thing was to replace. 12 hrs later alls good and the LJ still needs a coat of wax and its to d**n cold out today to do it.

Good thing the trans didn't fall out.The moral to this story is to always check your nuts.
