How much do you think OK would charge to get a new set or gears installed front and rear.
In light of problems discussed in my 44a thread Im gonna go with 32x11.5 inch tires and will most likely be sticking with my d35. So im either going with 4.10 or 4.56 gears

I would try and find a local shop over OK no offence to them but i think you could find a small shop to do it cheaper,

yeah I dont know of any small shops nearby that specialize more in differential work. if anyone has any suggestions let me know
opinions on the gear ratio itself. I have heard the the 5.9 v8 crowd that 4.56 is nice for 33 so for my 4.0 they would work well for 32's

hey how do you tell which gears you have. Is it the amount of times the pinion rotates to one ring gear rotation??

Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion gear or look at the little tag on the diff cover.

I REALLY want to go out next week with everyone and getting my buddy nailed down to do the pinion has been pretty hard. So i have an extra d30 and d35 I will just swap in for the time being. I just don't know the gears in them.. I figure I will use my old Dana's for measurements and mock ups for a new rears.

I live in Mount Holly. If you know of a shop nearby that would be awesome Camper Bob's is on 38. I've never had any work done there, but they are a 4x4 shop near your area. There is a Jeep shop in New Egypt also, I can't remember the name of it at them moment.

ive gone there before but i know some peope dont like it. The place in New Egypt is called "No Excuses". The guy that runs it is named Jack (so he must be awesome ;D). I've heard mediocre things about Camper Bob's as well.
