Death Rattle from what I can tell could be many different things, tire weight missing, bent rim, drive line angle, bad tire, ect... Well my first step is balance and rotate. This problem developed over night. I lifted and put 500 miles on my lj and nothing moved. Changed front shocks and cleaned it for the show next thing I know death wobble, go figure. It isn’t the shocks I use the shocks a lot and never had or seen a problem..

Yea, usually you start with balancing the tires then make sure the Trac-Bar is tight, etc.
You might just need an alignment & wheel balancing. That's where I'd start. All that new heavy duty stuff probably threw her out of wack a little.

rotate the tires and see if anything changes... That may help you diagnose. When I had death wobble it was all trackbar

If you recall I had the same proplem. It was a not so tight lock nut on the front track bar.Try that first before you spend any money.

I didn't know the track bar would cause wobble. I started to get a little on the way home just on the big speed bumps that both tires hit. Time to check over all the bolts.

Maybe! It seemed good when I had it off to paint. I even change the bushings.

Balanced and rotated no change. Did find a bad front wheel bearing.

That death rattle he's got is more than a wheel bearing. I was in his Jeep when it happened, it was definitely the dreaded "Death Wobble" and not just a little shake. You have to be at the perfect speed & hit the perfect bump for it to happen.
I think he blew out the stock steering stabilizer once the new suspension was installed. The stock one is not enough for a lift that size. I've had plenty of bad wheel bearings over the years and never felt anything like that.
Dana's Jeep was doing the exact same thing. I replaced the stabilizer and now it's fine. Hopefully that's what it is and nothing too serious.

i agree with jim. before i replaced my lift i was getting the same thing. At the right speed if i hit a bump it wouldnt stop. I had to pull over....

About time you changed your name to Super Krawler!!!! Jeez waterman you need a drink.. I'm with Chip and think this might be a steering stabilizer. But I would get an alignment also.

If its the real-deal death wobble (which it is from how it sounds) it's the track bar mounting. It only has to be the tiniest bit loose, and all hell will break loose. I had it happen to my old XJ at one time, and it scared the hell out of me. Front end shook so bad my vision was blurred.
