Folks be carful when servicing front axle u-joints. The Rubi OEM axles have a little plastic ring that can become dislodged when removing the axle. Bad stuff happens when you go to re-install the axle and push the stupid plastic ring through the seal and into the pumpkin along with some Jersey Mud. I had to pull the carrier, remove the stupid ring, clean the axle tubes and pumkin (Got Mud?). I thought every thing was ok, but a few days later noticed some gear oil on the passenger side wheel. Ordered a couple of seals and pulled the carrier again….What a weekend…. Alloy axles w/full circle clips, and outter tube seals are on the short list for the Mudhead....

Sounds like fun! I guess I should be glad I don't have a rubi.

It's not having a Rubi....It's having a wife that can't stay out of deep mud....I should have put my foot down and made Jeanne change out her own seals..... This whole thing started when she spit a u-joint at the Red-Pit.....

The Mudhead crawls to me on her hands and knees….Begging me to come out from under the bed so she can kick my a$$ again.
