Well as we all know a new motor yet again is going in,,,My question is what Clutch set's are you guys running? I've always used stock clutch sets but im thinking about going with a center force set this time

I would go with stock replacement like LUK. The race clutches are a little harsh with tight springs and that.

LUK....It's a Jeep, not a race car... ;D Why throw in an expensive clutch only to have some Wharton Mud destroy it?

I'm pretty sure that Pat installed a centerforce when the stock clutch seperated.

I am for the high end clutch. I run one in the cj and it doesn’t heat up like a cheep pack and they shift better. Think of it like buying cheep pads and rotors, yes they stop but not on a dime. If you got warton mud in you transmission you got bigger issues...

Well we all know i run hard and im not afraid to get in deep,,never had any trouble with a stock clutch but have had to tear apart to replace throw out bearing,,just wanted to test the water to see where people stood on this one,,,so i believe im going to just go with a stock clutch set

Actually the standard Centerforce usually has a light(er) pedal than a stocker by design...the little weights on them lessen the effort at lower rpms. Thats been the case when I've used them (though not in a Jeep I admit).. That said, LUK makes a good solid clutch, Ive found them to be reliable too, so I dont think there is a "bad" choice here..
