With that many codes I'd look in to the computer being bad unless you had a bad ground to the block or something. It's been a few years since I did the inspection but If I remember correctly, even after clearing all the codes you have to wait for all the monitors to reset in order to get tested again. If the monitors aren't ready then they won't even reinspect it. I'd drive it for a week and see if anything comes back. That should be enough time for the system to reset. By the way, how does it run? If all those were hard codes then it should run really really bad. Thats the issue it runs fine? I found out it had a bad hair day on the hottest day of the year and overheated...? I cleared the codes and waiting for them to come back up. Will see.. Just such a pain in the butt.

Hey all, Need some help.. I have a 2001 XJ 140k miles on it. I took it in for inspection and it threw 19 codes.. yea holy crap. Most were misfire codes, a TPS sensor code and the worst were evap codes. I can fix the TPS sensor.. I think the misfire codes might of happened once? will see I cleared the codes and see what comes back. I'm can have 1 code to pass but the issue is I have 3 evap codes. I can't find anything. I was also told I had transmission codes but my scanner did not find those? might have been a fluke?
Last night I cleared the codes and I have to wait to see what returns.
I also read that the computer reboots in 100 miles but does not throw codes until 200 miles? Anyone heard of this? If thats the case I can go back at 100 miles and get through inspection, then worry about my codes later?
The code numbers I found were: 121 123 300 301 303 304 305 442 455 456
I've been going to the same guy for many years and he told me his hands are tied until I fix these..
Also I have to replace the control arm buschings and my front axle ujoints.. Not happy about that either.
Any ideas, help?

If anyone wants to go it's a small group so feel free. I think the rock crawl comp is this weekend also, so be plenty to do and see.
