I was asked to post this by one of the event coordinators from NJJA
NJJA Cook Off
September 25th
4:00 pm - ?
Got a good BBQ recipe, do you make a mean chili, bring it on! Do you make a hot wing that will have people begging for more, those are welcome too! Any excuse to eat and get together for a good time! This is our first one so we will figure it out as we go, but prizes will be awarded for each category.
Categories, what categories? We don’t know yet until you show up with it. So bring what you got, keep an eye on this thread to see how many people you will need to provide a tasting for. The club will provide drinks (non-adult type) and some basic side dishes.
Bring your camp chairs so you have something comfy to sit in after eating all the great food. A campfire is planned to end the evening, providing weather conditions permit and we get some rain before then, we don’t want to go burning down the forest now do we.
PM mr coz or deputycoz for the address and directions. If you need to come earlier in the day to set up a smoker or to get things simmering, no problem, just send them a message and let them know what time you need to be there.
Those just showing up to enjoy some food and good company please bring a dessert to share around the campfire, you can never have too many flaming marshmallows, and we are not opposed to a good store bought pie or cake.
Please post up in this thread if you plan to attend, if you are cooking and what, or just coming to eat and cheer on the cooks.
