As most know we went to RC this past weekend! I developed a loud clunking noise in the frontend. After I had the wurst death wobble I ever felt. I knew I needed balljoints so I went ahead and installed them last night. Well I'm get in the Jeep and head to work this morning think it's all fixed. I hit a bump and the death wobble is still there. So I get home today and do some investigating and what did I find put this! So I put my welding skills to work or should I say my non skilled welding to work and did this! Lets hope this holds long enough to get this! currieenterprises3.reachlocal.net/cestore/Product.aspx?id=1277

I wonder why it failed? The Currie kit will be a bitc$ to weld onto a D30 tube; that's a big chunk of steel to get hot while you burn a hole in your axle tube. (must pre-heat)
My DW woes were from a worn track bar bushing.

I have yet to have a run in with anything considered "death wobble". But after all the reading i have done on it. 99.9% of the time its rubber related. Fortunately, i am always keeping up with my bushings and balljoints.

Replaced the front tracbar bushing and no more death wobble.
