Budget ZJ build "Z-Job"

I recently picked up 94 Grand Cherokee Limited for cheap from a friend of mine, with the hopes of having a winter car that could handle the snow and I didn't need to worry about roughing it up some.

Now when I got the car, It had been sitting for a year, and I was told it had a bad alternator, but I replaced the battery, and put 400 miles on since then with no problems. Other then a power steering fluid leak, that I think was already there. I put a temporary patch on it until I can get around to fixing it.

Now the cars not perfect, but cheappppp was a key word with the buy. I mean, awd, v8, leather seats, cd player. I can look past the dents and scratches

Since I got the car, I swapped the tires and wheels out for some mud tires I got used, Added a roof basket, pre owned, but still in the box, and picked up a brush guard with spotlights, you guessed it, used! Brush guard won't go on till monday, but here's a shot of it as it sits now.

Now the name "Z-Job" came from the movie Beerfest "Whats a Z-Job?" "If you gotta ask, you can't afford it." ;D

I picked up my beater 97 ZJ a couple weeks ago. P/S leaks, but that was leaking before i got it. Valve cover needs to be done. Put on new Kuhmo Road Venture rubber. Had Cragar wheels on it. Engine runs quite well. I think the rear end might have begun the trip out the door..but when i changed the fluid in the rear Diff there was fine bits of metal. No chunks or anythings. Fluid was real dirty, so it needed to be changed. Selectrac and a 4.0. All in all it seems pretty good for a winter rat. The head liner was coming down on the drivers side..so i got some spray adhesive and sprayed all under the headliner and so far its working.

No kidding. hahaha I had only 4 lug nuts on the front left tire. Drove for 2 weeks like that with stint on the interstate. Today i got a new lug nut for it only to find out that wheel stud that was missing the lug nut was partially stripped. What a pain in the butt that is being to replace.
I checked it for codes because some previous owner disconnect the check engine light. I don't know how you do that, but it don't work and i have 3 codes. One was for a cylinder 2 misfire. I don't have a misfire, not sure where that is coming from but i plan to replace the plugs anyways. the other was a P0420..but i already knew my CAT is bad. I'll fix that next week. And a P0455. Thats the funny one. My EVAP Canister behind the front bumper cover..well its not there and the box is smashed in, probably a rock or something. The hoses to it are non existant. Gotta love some people who don't know how to care for their vehicles.
