Well about 2 weeks ago we went out to quarter mile. I was stuck pretty good and Steve tried to give me a tug with the strap and it broke. This is the first time i had a strap snap like this. It shattered my headlight, broke a little bit of the grill, and pushed my blinker into the bumper. Thank God it didnt go any higher. While wrenching today i found several other issues. Most of my front end bushings need to be replaced. I know i can buy a full kit, but does anyone have a suggestion, brand? any i should stay away from?
That same day in a different hole i was trying to winch out and it sounded like my winch just started grinding, We all thought my winch was shot. Someone told me if i pull out the bad gear i should be able to find a replacement. I took it all apart today and found nothing wrong....hhhhmmmm. I put it all back together and it seems fine. I am starting to think i never fully engaged the free spool to lock.. lesson learned alway start with the simple problems first..

nothing was on it. looks like the stiching on the strap gave away. We all say dont use metal hook straps and i guess this is why. I wouldnt want to think of what damage that would have done...
Always stay out of the way while tugging. If that would have hit someone it would have really injured them
I will look at that bushing kit. I have a book at home and it looks like they are about 150 for the kit.
