I have a chance to possibly get front and rear D44's that all complete hub to hub off a 05 Rubi with 27K on it... My question is, can I simply swap them with my D30 and D35 bolt for bolt, or is there any altering involved... I understand I have to modify the emergency brake cable and rear brake lines going from drum to disc, but I think everything else should be an even swap... Also, will I need a different rear CV shaft??? I believe the Rubi has a shorter output shaft housing or (SYE) and mine is stock...Thanks

Paul i would grad them and do the swap,,,you may have to change a few things,,but every thing should be close to bolt up,,,as for the brakes you'll want to change the master cylinder out and there a few different ones you can use there not a big cost,,,the e-brake cable thats a cheap fix as well i used a lokar cable set up when i did my 9" swap www.lokar.com/index.htm they where a big help!!! I have a link for the master cylinder to www.braketechsolutions.com/BTSV101/Index.phpAnd these guy's where awesome Paul also the drive shaft shouldnt matter lenght wise,,,,only if you install an sye than you'll need a longer shaft,,, and tom brought up a good note on the ujoint.

Hey Paul sounds to me like you have the chance of a life time. If the rubi runs 1310 ujoints your stock DS should work.

Paul I believe the axle yokes take a larger u-joint. If you do your homework, conversion joints may be a viable solution. If you haven’t done it already, this would be the time for a SYE kit which would give you a fresh CV rear drive-shaft. (SWEET) Do these axles have the Rubi lockers installed? You will need the low pressure air pumps and some custom wiring to get this stuff working; you can put this off till later. (I can design and help you build this stuff if you like) Don't forget you may also need a new proportioning valve for the brakes. Don’t let these small obstacles stand in your way, Go for it! ;D

Paul, I'd grab them faster than you can say it. If you have a CV driveshaft already I think your good, but if you need anything it will be minor. You can get any adapters you might need from Advance Adapters. You might need a driveshaft yoke to fit the 44 pinion, I'm not possitive though.
What are you waiting for ..... go get e'm !!!
Need any help let us know.

Sit tight and maybe he will call you back.... The economy is in the toilet and having cold hard cash to keep a roof over your head is a big incentive to let go of unused stuff. I can' think of anything more useless then whole axles laying around the yard.
