Aaron do you mean the rear seal? You have to access that via the oil pan. It's not hard but a whole day project and not easy laying on your back, on a driveway. I did mine in my YJ years ago and it took me a long time. I had an estimate of 700.00 for a pro to do it.

Any interest long range in taking a trip out west? There are lots of places that rent Jeeps. If there is interset I can look into it. I'm thinking two years out to save the funds up? A modified Jeep is $150.00 a day and you can go anywhere... If you have never seen the canyon lands it is amazing country. I was lucky to spend sometime in the back country, backpacking. We can go wheelin, white water rafting, hiking, etc.. here is one link to a company. www.canyonlandsjeep.comA dream of mine and something I want to do before I take my dirt nap. ;D

Chip had that last week. You have mud packed around your ebrake clean it out and go in reverse and stomp on the brakes. Should fix it. The sensor is connected to the cable in the console. Cable tension is what makes it turn on and the mud has put slack in your line to cause it.

I just had the springs ordered from Skyjacker through a local store,so if I wanted to I could lift it now. I have a question though. Shocks are gonna be paid for with my next paycheck which is a week away. Should I wait till I have the shocks to install it all at once? I would wait and do it all at once. Both are an easy install but why pull wheels twice. Also depends if you bottom your stock shocks out with teh new springs?

Well I'm done Napa had the calipers ordered and they were 66.00 each. Replaced calipers and bleed the brakes. All is well so far.

It turned out to be my caliper. The caliper sized closed (on the pad). When I removed it I had to use a hammer as it would not brake free. The other side I noticed moved in and out much easier.
Nobody carries rear calipers and the price varied. I ended up ordering them through Napa at 65.00 each. I decided to replace both rears. The pads, rotors, and e-brake pads were all fine so I am not replacing them.
I hope to be back on the road tonight.
I believe mud was the culprit.. When I popped the caliper there was mud packed in the seal which I guess after time dried and became hard which tore and worked its way into the piston.
When I'm back 100% I will post my final findings.
fyi.. Jim at ok4wd was by far the most helpful in helping me locate parts. The dealer was the worst, even giving me the wrong calipers at 300.00 (I was desperate). But to be fair they were the only shop I called as I thought they might stock them.

I am also a distributor for this company. If anyone wants anything let me know. The quality is super but the prices are better. www.rothco.com They are in NY so the shipping is cheap.
